El Shaddai is een van de bekendste nummers van de Amerikaanse zangeres Amy Grant. Het is een christelijk lied dat in 1982 werd uitgebracht op haar album “Age to Age”.
De titel “El Shaddai” is Hebreeuws en kan vertaald worden als “God de Almachtige” of “God de Algenoegzame”. Het is een van de namen die in de Hebreeuwse Bijbel wordt gebruikt om God aan te duiden.
Het lied erkent de almacht en soevereiniteit van God door de geschiedenis heen en spreekt van Zijn eeuwige trouw en liefde voor de mensheid.
